Ecler Multi-Zone Audio for Hotel Bonito Ibiza

Project goals

●       Distribute audio independently across the hotel's 11 zones, from the common areas to the rooftop

●       Centralise signal management and processing through DSP

●       Allow local volume and source adjustments without relying on the central rack

●       Provide a zone-based paging system for hotel staff

●       Cover demanding environments: outdoor areas, pools and high-humidity spa zones

A complete Ecler solution for hospitality

At the core of the system is the HUB1616, a 16-zone digital DSP zone manager that centralises signal processing and distribution throughout the hotel.

Local control is handled by five eMCONTROL1R wall panels, which let staff adjust volume and source in each zone without accessing the central rack, and five WPaMIX-T panels, which feed peripheral or auxiliary sources (such as a DJ output) directly into the system. Both share the same Ethernet cabling, simplifying installation, and are powered by five WP24-PSU external power supplies.

Content playback relies on a PLAYER ZERO compact audio player, used to schedule the hotel's background music, and an eMPAGE paging console, compatible with the HUB, MIMO88, MIMO88SG and MIMO1212SG digital matrixes, which lets staff send announcements to specific zones.

Amplification combines six AURA-4B600 units (4×600 W RMS @4Ω, compatible with low and high impedance lines) and one AURA-8L150 unit (8×150 W RMS @4Ω, low impedance), providing the power and flexibility needed to cover large areas with different speaker types.

Indoor coverage relies on 4 IC6 ceiling speakers (6.5", 2-way) and 14 eIC52MS units (5", 2-way), the latter rated for installations exposed to extreme humidity and temperature and therefore fitted in the spa and wellness areas. Where a stronger sound presence was needed, 12 VIC8 ceiling speakers (8") were installed.

Outdoor and open-air transit areas are covered by 22 eMOTUS8OD wall speakers (8", 100 W RMS, IP65) and 20 eMOTUS5OD units (5", 40 W RMS, IP65), both in white, together with 33 IG108 in-ground speakers (100 W), designed for outdoor use and able to cover large surfaces with solid sound pressure.

The result

The system installed at Hotel Bonito Ibiza combines centralised management and local control within a single, consistent range of Ecler equipment, ensuring technical compatibility and straightforward maintenance. The mix of indoor, outdoor and humidity-rated speakers allows every area of the hotel to be covered with a solution suited to its acoustic and environmental conditions.
