THIA-2, a New Standard for 4K Video-over-IP Installations

Designed for professional AV installations, THIA brings secure, low-latency 4K video distribution over standard 1Gb networks, using visually lossless JPEG2000 compression. The system supports scalable matrix routing, video wall management and advanced control options, and it is built to integrate into corporate, education, hospitality and retail environments.

THIA-2: Design With Freedom
For years, designing a multi-zone commercial video system meant committing to a rigid, expensive and physically heavy hardware matrix chassis, sized and priced for the maximum number of endpoints from day one.
THIA-2 changes that model. Controlled by the VEO-XCTRL4D hardware unit with the THIA-2C firmware update, the system delivers visually lossless 4K @ 30Hz (4:4:4) distribution that scales one endpoint at a time, so installers can size a project to its actual needs rather than to a fixed chassis capacity, and add endpoints later without replacing the core infrastructure.
Four Things to Know About THIA
4K visual performance. The THIA-2T transmitter captures at 4K @ 60Hz (4:4:4); the THIA-2R receiver distributes at 4K @ 30Hz (4:4:4) to every display. Together, they support video walls of up to 9x9.
Ultra-low processing latency. The JPEG2000-based codec operates at 1 to 2 frames of total latency, which keeps the system responsive enough for interactive presentations, live hospitality feeds and KVM mouse tracking without perceptible lag.
Physical network isolation. The VEO-XCTRL4D controller has two separate physical LAN ports, so multicast video traffic stays fully split from the facility's corporate network. This is a detail IT directors tend to ask about directly, and THIA-2 answers it at the hardware level rather than through VLAN configuration alone.
Built-in audio management. THIA-2T and THIA-2R include native, unbalanced analog Euroblock terminals for local audio embedding and de-embedding, removing the need for external breakout boxes or splitters.
