For over 60 years, Ecler has been designing professional audio solutions that connect people through sound. But our commitment goes beyond engineering excellence. As a company dedicated to audio, we believe we have a responsibility to promote healthier listening habits, raise awareness about hearing health and contribute to a more sustainable future.
This vision inspired the third edition of our Life Week, an internal initiative that brought together employees, family members and friends to explore hearing health from multiple perspectives: prevention, well-being, conscious listening and corporate responsibility.
More than 140 guests joined us during our Family & Friends Day, making this year's edition our most successful to date and reinforcing a shared commitment to healthier listening.
A broader commitment: business with purpose
Life Week began by placing hearing health within a wider context: our journey towards becoming a more sustainable and responsible company.
During the opening seminar, we shared how initiatives such as Life Week reflect Ecler's purpose and our ambition to align with business models where success is measured not only by financial performance but also by the positive impact a company creates for its people, society and the planet.
For us, innovation and responsibility go hand in hand. Promoting hearing health is one of the many ways we strive to create long-term value beyond our products.
Prevention is the best protection
One of the week's central messages was simple:
Most hearing damage can be prevented.
The seminar Smart Hearing Prevention explored how our auditory system works and why hearing loss often develops gradually, making prevention more important than treatment.
Among the key topics discussed were:
How prolonged exposure to loud noise affects hearing.
Noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus.
Safe headphone use.
The importance of regular listening breaks.
The 60/60 rule (listening at no more than 60% volume for no longer than 60 minutes at a time).
The value of regular hearing check-ups and early detection.
These are practical habits that anyone can adopt to protect their hearing throughout life—whether at work, at home or while enjoying music.
Listening goes beyond hearing
Another highlight of Life Week invited participants to rethink what it really means to listen.
While hearing is a biological process, listening is an active human skill. It requires attention, presence and genuine interest in others.
The session explored how our internal "soundtrack" influences communication, teamwork and relationships, reminding us that better listening leads not only to better conversations but also to healthier workplaces and stronger connections.
In an increasingly fast-paced world, conscious listening has become an essential element of both personal well-being and professional collaboration.
When movement supports hearing health
The final seminar took an experiential approach by exploring the connection between the body and hearing.
Participants took part in guided exercises involving posture, neck mobility, eye movement, breathing and upper-body relaxation, as well as jaw mobility and massage techniques particularly relevant for people affected by bruxism.
The session demonstrated how muscular tension, posture and body awareness can influence our overall well-being, encouraging participants to understand hearing health as part of a holistic approach to health rather than an isolated function of the ear.
Building a culture of responsible listening
At Ecler, we believe hearing health should be part of the conversation in every organisation that works with sound.
Whether through education, awareness initiatives or responsible product development, we are committed to promoting a culture where technology serves people and where listening is understood as something worth protecting.
Life Week is another milestone in that journey.
In the coming months, we will continue expanding this commitment through new initiatives and collaborations that help make hearing health, accessibility and conscious listening part of everyday life.
Because at Ecler, we believe that listening well means living better.
