A firmware update designed to simplify system programming and daily integration

Ecler has released EclerPLEX Firmware v1.03r21, introducing new features that improve system monitoring, event automation, DSP workflow and hardware management.

The update extends compatibility across the complete VIVO and BIO hardware range, including the non-Dante VIVO models, while also introducing several tools designed to make commissioning and system maintenance faster and more efficient.

Whether configuring a new installation or maintaining an existing one, the latest firmware provides greater flexibility throughout the entire EclerPLEX workflow.

Full support for the complete VIVO and BIO Series

Firmware v1.03r21 now supports every current VIVO and BIO device within the EclerPLEX ecosystem.

Supported products include:

  • VIVO-X8

  • VIVO-X8D8

  • BIO-X8

  • BIO-X8G

This means projects built around analogue or Dante-based architectures can now be managed from the same software environment, allowing integrators to work with a consistent programming workflow regardless of the selected hardware.

Signal Detector: automation based on real audio activity

One of the most significant additions is the new Signal Detector DSP block.

Rather than relying only on timers or manual commands, EclerPLEX can now detect whether an audio signal is present and use that information to trigger programmed events automatically.

Typical applications include:

  • activating audio zones when a source becomes active

  • launching scheduled actions only when audio is detected

  • monitoring audio presence for troubleshooting

  • automating system behaviour according to signal availability

This makes installations more responsive while reducing unnecessary manual intervention.

Trigger events directly from User Control Panels

User Control Panels now support direct event triggering.

Instead of controlling only individual parameters such as volume or source selection, a single button can execute a complete programmed event.

For example, a user could:

  • activate a meeting-room preset

  • prepare a venue for an event

  • switch operating modes

  • launch multiple actions simultaneously

The result is a simpler interface for end users and more powerful programming possibilities for integrators.

Better visibility of the audio signal path

Monitoring has also been improved.

VU meters can now monitor:

  • physical inputs

  • physical outputs

  • internal DSP ports

This provides a clearer view of how audio travels through the system, making commissioning, diagnostics and remote support considerably easier.

Faster DSP programming

Creating and modifying DSP chains is now more efficient.

Improved copy, paste and insert functions reduce repetitive work when building similar processing structures across different channels or projects.

For system integrators, this means:

  • quicker programming

  • more consistent DSP structures

  • fewer repetitive tasks

  • easier modification of existing projects

Improved User Control Panel design

The panel editor has also received several usability improvements.

Objects can now be resized from every side and corner, making it easier to create interfaces that adapt to different screen sizes and operational requirements.

Whether designing a panel for hotel staff, reception personnel or AV technicians, layouts can now be created more efficiently.

Easier hardware navigation

The firmware also reorganises how hardware resources are displayed.

Internal ports now have their own dedicated section and port numbering has been improved, making it easier to identify connections between physical hardware and DSP processing.

For larger projects involving several VIVO and BIO devices, these changes help reduce configuration errors and improve system readability.

Why you should update

Keeping EclerPLEX devices updated ensures access to the latest software improvements, compatibility updates and workflow enhancements.

Before updating an operational installation, installers should verify the existing project configuration and keep a current Workspace backup.

Updating regularly also helps maintain compatibility across the complete EclerPLEX ecosystem as new hardware and software capabilities are introduced.
