The recent installation carried out in an office building in the industrial area of the city of Murcia has been a challenge that has leaded DPA series to be integrated in a domotics control system that manages the two floors that make up the headquarters of the company in the city.

The challenge

• To send background music channels to up to 16 meeting and lecture rooms with excellent quality as a target and to integrate the visible parts (loudspeaker and bass cabinets) in a non obtrusive way.
• To solve the connectivity between the domotics control system and DPA power amplifiers. This point was fundamental to achieve an important objective as well: independent local level control in every meeting room through the domotics in wall remote control system.

The solution

Integration of the DPA amplifiers (16 units) in the GIRA domotics system has been solved using 0-10V control signals. 0-10V signals are well known in fluorescent lamp dimming applications, but they are also perfectly suitable in audio level control thanks to the remote input capabilities of the AMIC card.
AMIC card therefore has been the bridge between domotics and audio in this facility in a very simple manner since no special wiring or connectors had to be used, but also gathers the equalization and limiting purposes that every meeting room required.

Both MARTIN ARQUITECTURAL Flat Panels  and ViroSUB units have been customized in appearance and in installation so they are invisible to the end  user of the every room.

The preliminary approach to the project and further supervision and support has been carried out by the Project Department of ECLER.
